Give Blood, Save Lives!
Below are links to the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas (CBCC)and the American Red Cross. A click on either will take you to the respective pages for blood donation information. Unfortunately, some navigation may be necessary to get up-to-date schedules.
------------------------------------------------------------
We have conducted one blood drive for CBCC and are inclined to stay loyal to them, since all the blood they collect stays right here for use in our local hospitals. They are revising their licensing and have not yet received the license to collect blood in South Carolina. This necessitates traveling to one of many North Carolina locations to donate, unfortunately we can't have them come to us (yet). The result is a Severe blood shortage and an urgent need for YOUR blood.
Here's the CBCC logo:
(Please read the paragraph below before clicking on the logo.)

When you arrive at the NCDonor page:
1. Click on "Advanced Search"
2. Look for the "Make an Appointment" section and type in
Charlotte in the city block
3. Select North Carolina in the state
4. Click on "Search".
(This will be easier once they receive the license to collect in South Carolina. Then you can simply enter your zip code and how far you are willing to travel.)
(And we're working on a more streamlined path for this!)
--------------------------------------------------------
The American Red Cross sends blood wherever it is needed most (within reason). Some people place more trust in the larger organization, or they may simply have a more convenient time or place. Any donation to either organization saves lives and makes you an instant hero in anybody's book!
The link below should take you to the York County Chapter's page. It shows the current collection schedule.
