Below is a brief overview of the RMC church family and ministry

RMC is a medium-sized ARP church family in Rock Hill, SC (Catawba Presbytery) (just 20 miles South of Charlotte, NC), with a purpose to honor God by leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  We are passionate in our desire to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, utilizing a purpose-driven model to ensure that all we do remains focused on worshiping God with our lives, bringing people to the feet of Jesus by sharing how He has changed our lives, loving each other as members of the same body, serving together, and growing in our obedience to God’s Word.  Our structure, budget, and programming are all focused on fulfilling our purpose.

Corporate Worship Environments   We committed to offering multiple corporate worship environments styled to connect with people of different ages, preferences and stages of life.  A high priority is given to children and youth ministries.  Sunday corporate worship offerings include:

  • CrossPointe Kids for Kindergarten through 5th grade with appropriate Christ-centered care for birth through pre-school.

  • Prevailing Worship Gathering at 9am.

  • Impassioned Worship Gathering at 10:45 am.

  • Fellowship time or small groups for teens and older adults offered in between services.

Teens of RMC and our community are served by The PointE, a church for students in Grades 6-12.  The PointE is designed with teens in mind.  It features an engaging enviornment, engaging youth-oriented speakers, live music, multiple fellowship opportunities, snacks, all designed to attract teens and help them become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

The "PointE on Wheels" is an evangelistic outreach to area teens, seeking to share the Gospel of Jesus with students who have not come to know Jesus and leader and Savior.  POW has a story all its own.  We look forward to sharing it.

College and early career aged adults are served by Fuel, a ministry which features a corporate worship and fellowship opportunity with live music, and engaging teaching and time for self-reflection and interaction.  Currently, Fuel is taking a break while we do a bit of R&D, and leadership development.

Small Group Fellowships   Small groups are integral to the life of our church family.  Small groups have fun together, serve together, study God’s word together, and in general share life together.

Every Member is a Minister   Jesus is the head of the church and our church family is to serve as His body.  Each member is SHAPED by Him for ministry, to serve as a vital part of His body.  The leadership of RMC is to help prepare, equip, protect and support the members of our church family to fulfill our purpose, both corporately and individually.

Classes to Help People Fulfill Our Purpose  We serious about equipping our  church family to fulfill our purpose.  We provide the following series of classes:

  • 101 – What we believe, who we are, where God wants us to go, and how you can be a part.  (class is a requirement for membership)

  • 201 – Your self-paced study on the habits needed to mature in Christ.

  • 301 – Determining your SHAPE for ministry.

  • 320 – Guides your or your team in start-up and leadership principles for ministry.

  • 401 – Preparing you to share with others your life story of faith in Jesus.

WIN   We define a win for the members of our church family as follows:

  • W – Worship and Work - Members are to regularly attend worship services and are to work in a ministry of RMC

  • I - Invest and Invite - Members are to show love and compassion for people outside God’s family by personally investing in their lives; and by inviting them to get to know God, through Jesus; and inviting them to attend an RMC service or gathering.

  •  N - Nurturing life - Members are to nurture their relationship with God by studying His Word and praying daily; and by being a faithful member of a small group of Christians who can help them grow in faith and devotion to God.

Who will we be?  (Our vision)

We are working the plan and will continue to focus on honoring God by leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus.  We will continue to offer multiple corporate worship environments; continue to reach out to our community by offering outstanding opportunities for people to hear about Jesus, especially opportunities for children and youth; continue to promote love among our church family through fellowship and small groups; continue to prepare and promote every member as a minister to carry out our purpose.  We have the life of Jesus in us and we will grow.
